Scotland custom charter tours

From Edinburgh's castle and cobbled closes to the lochs and glens of the Highlands – a private multi-day journey through Scotland, planned around you.

From £320 per vehicle per day · You receive a quotation before anything is confirmed. Submitting a form does not create a confirmed booking.

Scotland rewards time. Edinburgh alone could fill several days, and the Highlands are best enjoyed slowly, with stops for viewpoints, lochside villages and castles along the way.

Because of the distance from Nottingham, we recommend Scotland as a multi-day tour. The journey north can itself become part of the trip, with stops in places such as York or Northumberland.

Highlights

Edinburgh

Approximate travel considerations

  • Scotland is a long way from Nottingham – we recommend at least four or five days.
  • Some Highland roads are single-track with passing places, so progress can be slower than distances suggest.
  • Weather can change rapidly, especially in the mountains. Pack layers and waterproofs.
  • Midges can be common in parts of the Highlands in summer.
  • Edinburgh is extremely busy during the August festivals – book accommodation early.
  • Winter days are short in the far north, which limits sightseeing time.

Frequently asked questions

Can Scotland be done as a day trip from Nottingham?

We don't recommend it – the distance is too great for an enjoyable day. Scotland works best as a multi-day tour.

Can the tour start or finish in Edinburgh?

Yes. For example, you could fly or take the train one way and travel by private vehicle the other.

Are hotels included?

Your quotation will state what's included. We can suggest areas to stay, and you can share hotel details in the enquiry form.
